Shearman Fine Arts Building – McNeese St University


Another photo from my series of shots of buildings designed by Champeaux, Evans, Hotard Architects in Lake Charles, LA. This is the Shearman Fine Arts Building at McNeese State University. Project start date: Feb. 11, 2008. Official public opening: May 7, 2010. Cost: $15.7 million. 59,918 total square feet that includes: 526-seat theatre and stage, dressing rooms, theatre control booth, costume and scene shops, concessions and ticket office, grand gallery, sculpture and ceramics studios, 3-D studio, kiln patio, digital photography studio, art history/visual resource center, classrooms, faculty offices, balcony exhibition gallery, rehearsal hall, ensemble room, choral library, performing arts department suite and storage areas.
